You will gain proficiency in AWS and become empowered to make informed decisions about IT solutions based on business requirements.

  • Creating an Amazon S3 bucket and configuring access logging
  • Uploading objects and managing object-level permissions

  • Creating folders and applying bucket-wide security with a bucket policy
  • Enabling Life Cycle policies to archive and delete log

Lab 2: Amazon EC2

  • Overview of the EC2 Management Console
  • Creating an EC2 key pair and a security group to allow RDP
  • Choosing a correct Windows AMI and launching an instance
  • Creating an AMI with customizations
  • Modifying object metadata
  • Creating, attaching, detaching and migrating an EBS volume
  • Managing an instance's lifecycle, including: Termination protection,starting, stopping, resizing and terminating the instance

Lab 3: Amazon Elastic Load Balancing

  • Overview of the ELB Management Console
  • Creating an ELB for HTTP traffic
  • Configuring health checks
  • Understanding ELB properties

Lab 4: Amazon RDS

  • Overview of the RDS Management Console
  • Creating and modifying Security Groups
  • Launching a MySQL instance
  • Connecting to and utilizing the MySQL instance
